Adult Literacy
I am proud to have contributed 2 novels to the Open Door Series which, among many others, includes Patricia Scanlan, Marian Keyes, Cathy Kelly, Roddy Doyle, Dermot Bolger and Deirdre Purcell. These short novels are written for adults who have had problems with reading in the past, or who have come to reading late in life. They are also widely read by students of English.
My two novels are Maggie’s Story and Three of a Kind. Maggie’s Story is about a woman who feels that life is passing her by. Three of a Kind was specially adapted from a story in my Connections collection.
In addition to the Open Door Series, I am currently writing a novel for the Quick Reads series in the UK. It’s called Follow Me and will be published in 2011.

It’s great too Sheila that many of your books are also in braille and other accessible formats.
“Share the joy” that’s what I say!
Well done!
Thanks
Tony
