The Open Door Series is a collection of books for people who have had reading difficulties or who have come to reading later in life. They are also used by non-native English speakers to improve their English. They are short novellas and deal with a whole range of themes.

Maggie’s Story is about a 43 year old woman who feels that life is passing her by. She thinks that she’s become a wife and a mother but she’s forgotten who she is herself. I think this is something that happens to all of us at a point in our lives. Everyday responsibilities can weigh us down. And that’s what I wanted to write about here.

I received a lovely, lovely letter from a reader who told me that Maggie’s Story was the first novel he’d ever read. I’m really proud of that!
