    • Far From Over

far from overWhenever I saw an old boyfriend with a new girlfriend (even if I didn’t care about him any more) I always felt a bit aggrieved that he’d found someone else – which I know is silly but there you go! This book is about an ex-wife and a new wife. Even though she divorced her husband, Gemma is still jealous of his new wife. She’s envious of his child-free lifestyle too. But, of course, the new wife, Orla, is jealous of the ex-wife because she knew him first and because of the children who are so important to David. Both of them struggle with the idea of each other. I wrote this book because they’re always showing us celebrities with new husbands or lovers only a few weeks after they’ve split up with someone else, suddenly madly in love all over again. It’s all supposed to be so easy but I don’t really think that it is! I also wanted to write about the dilemmas children face from divorce and remarriage, even when the entire thing is supposedly amicable. I enjoy writing about fractured relationships of all sorts.

I have read a few of Sheila’s books, and I absolutely love them! I am a Canadian of Scottish descent, and I feel I really connect with all your characters! This book was so good, I found myself ignoring my homemaking duties to sneak a read! And I love how it flowed from various characters points of views/stories, made it a very easy and quick ready for a busy stay-at-home-mother-of-two!
Currently trying to get my hands on all your books! Thank you for your wonderful stories!
