 This is my most recent book which was published in August 2005. It's the story of a woman, Claire, who found her perfect love when she was five years old and married him when she was twenty. She never had another meaningful boyfriend and never went through the trauma of breaking up or making up or waiting for the phone to ring. But then her husband, Bill, is killed in a horrific accident leaving her physically and emotionally scarred and with their daughter to bring up on her own.
Claire tries to get on with things because of her daughter, Georgia. And she insists to all of her friends that she's perfectly fine and has got over Bill's death. But there's a difference between living life and simply getting on with it and she needs to discover that.
In this novel I wanted to explore the idea of finding and losing the perfect person. I've written before about getting on with your life after a trauma like divorce or infidelity, but never about losing the one person who made your life complete.
