"A Season to Remember":enjoyed the short story nature of this book. Warm stories and quite a variety built around a common theme of the lodge. Thought the ghost story of Berleagh with Louisa was particularly well crafted; not overly sentimental.

I just wanted to say how very much I enjoy your books. I live in Spain, and it is not always easy to get hold of great books, but yours are the best I have read in ages. I just finished How will I know ? and for me it was unputdownable. I found myself laughing and crying in succession. I have an Old English sheepdog cross, and I loved your descriptions of Phidough.

Dear Sheila, many congratulations on winning the award! I came across your books quite by 'accident' – have not had much work lately so with plenty of time on my hands I've gone back to reading much more. Wandering into my daughter's room and looking through all the books on her shelf I thought perhaps I'd try one of them and picked up 'A Season to Remember' and couldn't put it down again….I love how your writing just drew me in and took me on a marvelous journey of feelings, emotions and experiences as well as to a magical landscape in that book.
I've just read 'A Perfect Man' almost in one breathe and am now reading 'How will I know?' – the short of this long message is that I love your writing, you seem to have a wonderful knack of 'put your finger on it'……I look forward to reading more of your books – thanks for writing! Oh yes, and am so glad my daughter likes your books….!

Hi Shiela, I have just finished "Stand by me" and I just couldn't put it down and as I read in bed mostly I had a lot of late nights! Extremely well thought out and written and what's more no mistakes in the whole book so a credit to your editors. I can't wait to get my teeth into another one of your books as I get so absorbed in the characters and was so glad in the end Domino walked away as I was urging her to do, so glad she listened to me.

Thank you very much for a highly enjoyable book, can't wait to read another one..
